We’ve been to the bars, drunk the drinks and partied non stop to find out where some of the best après spots are. When it comes to picking a holiday, what often comes second to the resort is the après ski on offer. Ranging from pubs to clubs and from log-lit lodges to piano bars après can start as early as lunchtime but can last until the early hours of the next morning.
Here are the recommended après ski bars and lounges in in France.
Resort: Meribel
Rond Point

Famous for raucous dancing on the long terrace tables and partying piste side, there’s no doubt this is the place to be seen at après. The huge wooden sun-soaked terrace is packed from lunchtime and revellers can expect to bop away to DJ’s and live bands – why not buy a bottle of the toffee vodka to get the night flowing?
Dicks Tea Bar

Always busy this is the place to après after you’ve aprèsed. It’s open until the early hours, is the best club in Meribel and possibly the whole three valleys. Expect live sports, quality drinks, cocktails and food with lots of headline UK DJs, theme nights and a stunning line-up of weekly entertainment.
Resort: Val d’Isere
Folie Douce

At the top of the La Daille gondola this place kicks off in style at 3pm. The huge wooden terrace is normally packed with skiers – if it’s hot the bikinis will be out and you’ll be dancing so hard until to close. The dance, chart and pop music belts out over the piste and it’s hard to ski part without stopping for at least one drink.

Possible Val’s most famous bar this place has been setting the standard since 1979. Hosting big name DJ’s the bar is now made up of three sections – The Entry Bar, the Cocktail Bar and the legendary Member’s Bar next door. 1000 customers supposedly walk through the doors each day and after the slick new makeover last year it’s definitely the place to be morning, noon and night!
