Le Chardon Mountain Lodges

Chardon Mountain Lodge

Val d’Isère
Sleeps 18+

As the snow still falls in the Alps, the coming weeks are the perfect time to indulge in a week of luxury in Val d’Isère, before the season is over. Nestled in one of the most sought after locations, Le Chardon Mountain Lodges has a portfolio of five luxurious ski in/ski out chalets – each with its own chef, hot tubs overlooking the mountains and cellars filled with chilled champagne.

Chef Oliver James (who has been trained by Gordon Ramsey, Gary Rhodes and Phil Howard) has created a fantastic menu for this season, with dishes including roast sea bass with celeriac truffle and ratte potatoes or assiette of suckling pig with smoked garlic mash, pea mousse and tarragon jelly and milk chocolate with black olive and popping candy.

The properties include Chalet Kilimanjaro (sleeps 8), which has a lovely  private terrace and hot tub and each bedroom has an en-suite bath / shower room.  The open plan living area has a high vaulted ceiling and is the perfect retreat for all to meet and swap stories after a day on the slopes.   Now that’s how skiing should be!

Chalet Bergerie (sleeps 10) is another one of the gorgeous chalets in Le Chardon’s portfolio. This chalet has been renovated with many of the original features, with four ensuite bedrooms and a fifth bedroom with its own private bathroom. La Bergerie sports additional features such as the luxury of a private massage room where the trained physiotherapists can work out those weary limbs, or the state of the art cinema room complete with a Nintendo wii.

What’s more, with all of the chalets your booking includes breakfast every morning, ski snacks to take up the mountain, afternoon tea, champagne receptions and canapés each evening, gourmet five course dinners every night including a wide selection of fine wines and a complementary bar as well as a private chauffeur in resort.
