Chalet Sagittaire

sagittaire

Luxury ski chalet company, CK Verbier added its fourth chalet, Sagittaire to its exclusive portfolio in 1999. Sagittaire sleeps up to 31 guests and although it can be rented in its entirety, the chalet is divided into three private apartments with a beautiful shared pool, spa and gym.

The penthouse apartment, Gentianes (sleeps 12) is located across the top two floors of the building. The spacious open-plan living and dining area boasts panoramic views over the Val de Bagnes. The large open fireplace creates a cosy ambience complemented by comfy sofas and rustic antiques. Gentianes also features a separate library and TV den.

Fontanet (sleeps 13) is the largest of the three apartments and runs across the first and second floors of the building.  A very spacious, open plan living area is located on the second floor with large panorama windows offering a bird’s eye view of  Savoleyres and the Val de Bagnes.  The apartment has been designed to provide plenty of space to relax and have fun.  The elegant living and dining area with open fireplace is furnished with a mix of modern and antique pieces and is linked by folding doors to a billiard room with bar and separate TV area.

Les Esserts (sleeps 6) is the chalet’s ground floor apartment. The apartment is decorated in a contemporary rustic style with a combination of modern furniture and traditional Swiss antiques. The open plan living room has a cosy seating area with an open fireplace and a modern kitchen with bar and dining  area while the large sliding doors open directly onto a terrace and garden, with fantastic framed views down the valley. What makes this chalet company so different is the truly impressive wine cellars.

Talked about as ‘the envy of Verbier’, the cellars boast over 150 different wines. The collection represents the very best of the world’s greatest wine regions – home to many rare and hard to find vintages, including the Clos d’Ambonnay (Krug’s most expensive Champagne) and Petrus.

These wines and Champagne cannot be found anywhere else in Verbier and only in a handful of three Michelin starred restaurants in the world.  Jacques Picard Brut NV is the CK Verbier’s ‘house’ Champagne (guests are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of on arrival) and for those wanting Krug it is available for purchase from the wine cellar.

Each chalet comes with its own 24-hour chauffeur, chef and chalet host – all included in the price.
