Amazon Creek, a superb new five-star chalet operator, launches a fourth chalet this winter to add to its existing portfolio of stunningly luxurious chalets in the world class French ski resort of Chamonix.
The property, called Chalet Anchorage, complements the operator’s collection of three fabulous chalets, including the flagship Amazon Creek itself, plus Chalet Baloo and Chalet Baby Bear, which all opened over the past two winters.
Together the original three sit in their own leafy enclave in Les Bossons, just five minutes’ drive from Chamonix town itself. Each is interior designed to the highest mountain chic standard, with plenty of reclaimed old wood and leather, designer chairs, cow skins and furs, as well as signature bright scarlet rugs and cushions.
A large, more traditional Alpine ski chalet it combines rustic farmhouse chic with sheer luxury. The chalet sleeps 10 guests and comes complete with outdoor hot tub, Sky TV and wifi throughout. It also has its own professional chef and chalet host or can be hired on a self-catered basis.
Chamonix is just over an hour from Geneva it is fabled for its towering peaks, stunning views, and gnarly off-piste terrain, which is easily accessible from the slopes, but it is also an excellent resort for all levels of skier. Divided into several separate ski areas, the Amazon Creek chalets are just five minutes away from the Les Houches ski area, but also easily accessible to Flégère, Brévent and Grands Montets.
